Xavier is an international advisor at the University of Auckland with a portfolio for Māori and Pasifika, the director of Manu Collective, and an independent choreographer and artist.
This year Manu took 25 dance graduates from New Zealand and Australia to the Macau International Youth Dance Festival under a Māori/Pasifika kaupapa.
Xavier has created work for festivals and programmes in New Zealand, Macau, Taiwan and Australia, and most recently choreographed for the UN SDG Summit.
He was also a delegate for the prestigious Yenching Global Symposium under Peking University looking at China’s relationship with the world.
Xavier is in the final stages of completing a Master of Dance Studies with practice-led research in Aotearoa and Taiwan.
