Residency Partnerships
The Asia New Zealand Foundation supports a small number of strategic residency partnerships that connect New Zealand artists with leading arts organisations and festivals across Asia.
These residencies are delivered through trusted partnerships with arts organisations in New Zealand and Asia. Residencies build artists’ capability, connections and international readiness.
Residency opportunities are announced as they arise and are usually specific to particular artforms or career stages.
Residency opportunities will be promoted on the Foundation's website, through our various social media channels and by the partner organisation.
Applications and the selection process are managed by partner organisations. These are curated, relationship-based opportunities designed to foster long-term cultural exchange.
The purpose of the programme
The purpose of the Foundation's Residency Partnerships programme is to:
develop stronger cultural exchange between New Zealand and Asian arts sectors.
expand artists professional networks and new international pathways.
increase visibility and engagement for New Zealand arts offshore.
