Ufitia Sagapolutele


Ufitia Sagapolutele is an Aotearoa-Samoan multidisciplinary creative artist, artistic director and co-founder of Pacific contemporary arts collective TULOU. 

Ufitia began her dance career as a dancer in 'The Royal Family' led by world-renowned creative director Parris Goebel. Since then, Ufitia has achieved a Masters of Dance degree from The University of Auckland and has created her own dance works that have been performed in Aotearoa, Asia, USA and Europe at venues including the Niigata City Centre for Creative Arts, Weltkulturen Museum, Auckland Art Gallery, Te Papa and Auckland Museum. 

Aside from dance, Ufitia is the co-leader of arts community Period7 which involves creating and facilitating free arts workshops for young artists in Tāmaki Makaurau and is a Board member for Red Leap Theatre.

Ufitia is currently the Engagement Manager for the nine-block precinct, Britomart which involves building culture, community and art in Tāmaki Makaurau.
