The Bangkok Post internship, Thailand
The Foundation's Asia Media Centre offers a journalism internship at the Bangkok Post newspaper in Bangkok Thailand. Media internships are offered through the Foundation's Asia Media Centre - set up by to help improve the breadth and depth of coverage of Asia issues in the New Zealand media. Internships provide New Zealand journalism students and recent graduates with experience working at a media organisation in Asia in order to gain a better understanding of the people, places and culture of the host country.
The BP is Thailand’s leading English-language newspaper and the country’s oldest national newspaper, with a local and international audience over 450,000, including web subscribers.
Established in 1946, the Bangkok Post employs over 100 editorial staff. Including ex-pats usually able to converse in Thai. Interns write for the news, sport, business and lifestyle sections of the paper. Interns do not require fluency in Thai, but should have some knowledge of Thai society and customs.
