The Foundation's sports programme harnesses the power of sport to build connections between New Zealand and Asia. We do this by helping New Zealand sports leaders deepen their knowledge of Asia and build relationships with their counterparts across the region.
Our sports programme offers grants and curated delegations that support sports sector representatives to travel to Asia, learn how sport is delivered in the region and build industry connections.
We also provide internships with sports organisations in Asia for tertiary students and recent graduates, and bring sports professionals from across the region to New Zealand to share insights with local sports sector audiences.
The Foundation's Sports Leaders Fund is a fund for New Zealand sports sector representatives to establish connections and develop relationships with their counterparts in Asia.
The Sports Connector Programme brings Asia-based sports professionals and thought leaders to Aotearoa New Zealand to engage with local counterparts and share insights at national forums and conferences.
Sports internships are open to third and fourth-year undergraduate students or recent graduates pursuing a degree in sports, sports science, sports management, coaching, or related fields.
