Serendipity Arts Festival 2025, India

The Asia New Zealand Foundation Te Whītau Tūhono is calling for applications from New Zealand festival directors, programmers, and performing arts leaders to join a delegation attending the Serendipity Arts Festival 2025 in India.

India’s performing arts sector is among the most dynamic in the world, anchored by a population of 1.4 billion and driven by a young, urban audience eager for new forms of theatre, dance, and music.

Major centres like Mumbai and Delhi are home to a thriving ecosystem of venues, festivals, and producers, while Goa’s Serendipity Arts Festival has become one of South Asia’s most influential multidisciplinary platforms.

For New Zealand performing arts leaders, this signals a rare opportunity to understand a huge and youthful audience base, discover innovative cross-genre practices, and build long-term collaborations with influential South Asian counterparts.

Applications open Tuesday 9 September

The programme runs from 15–22 December 2025
