Ronan Payinda



Ronan Payinda is the founder and executive director of SurgReady, a digital health startup that improves surgical outcomes by providing patients with personalised preoperative guidance, a UNICEF Young Ambassador, and a medical student in Auckland.

Ronan is dedicated to harnessing innovation to improve healthcare access for people of all backgrounds.

For his work in health equity and health innovation, Ronan was recognised as a Young Health Programme Impact Fellow by One Young World and Astrazeneca.

Ronan is a board member at the New Settlers Family and Community Trust, a non-profit providing wellbeing support to refugees and vulnerable migrants in Tāmaki Makaurau - Auckland.

Ronan is also involved in research on AI and public health with JMIR Infodemiology and the World Federation of Public Health Associations, where he is a member of the Non-Communicable Disease Working Group and is working to build an Asia-Pacific hub for young people in public health.
