Rugby World Cup Japan 2019

Resources for students to learn about Japan in the lead up to the RWC in 2019.

Students can learn basic facts and figures about the New Zealand host cities in Japan, as well as learning some tips on Japanese etiquette.

There's a spotlight on Oita, a how-to-guide for using an onsen, and basic travel tips for visiting Japan.

Resources could be used as a current events reading activity, or as an introduction to an inquiry on the Rugby World Cup or Japan.

Resources have been designed to accompany an article by Stuff journalist, Katarina Williams. Katarina travelled to Japan with an Asia New Zealand Foundation media grant.
