This Y4-7 social studies mini-unit has been designed for students to learn at home (or in the classroom) by working independently on differentiated learning activities to explore the Philippines.
Students select activities based on their interests and assess their own learning at the end.
Students will learn about the geography, culture and customs of the Philippines.
For extended learning, students can investigate New Zealand’s changing demographics to explore the ways the growing number of Filipinos living here are shaping the lives of New Zealanders through the sharing of their culture and customs.
