Sachie Nomura
Originally from Aichi, Japan, Sachie arrived in New Zealand as a university student in the mid 1990’s, attaining a degree in Chinese and Chinese family-in-laws.
Sachie is the Founder of Sachie’s Kitchen, Australasia’s largest Asian cooking school. She is one of New Zealand’s leading F&B entrepreneurs, consulting for a number of international food brands and presents to government on the topic of Washoku (the food of Japan).
Sachie also puts out a range of Sachie’s Kitchen branded food products and is a founder of novel plant products, Avocadomilk (sold in 1500 stores in the USA); and Kabochamilk (exported to Japan and Korea).
She has won six Global Food Innovation Awards for her work.
Sachie is a well-known food writer and television personality, as an executive producer and host of ‘Sachie’s Kitchen’ a TV show and book internationally syndicated to 45 countries.
Passionate about raising the profile of women, she has been named as one of New Zealand’s 50 most influential women and one of Auckland University’s 40 under 40.
