Katie Howe

Katie Howe joined the Foundation in April 2023, after 15 years of running her corporate communications consultancy in China, Singapore and Australia.Prior to this, she was based in China working for multinational agencies such as Burson-Marsteller, Ketchum and DDB China Group.

Before moving to China, she was a live TV Producer for Channel Seven in her hometown of Sydney. She has a Bachelor of Arts Asian Studies from Western Sydney University, with a major in Mandarin and sub-major in Social and Political Theory.

Katie has lived and worked in a number of countries throughout North and South-East Asia. She is a strong and active supporter of network development and collaboration between the public and private sectors, particularly among the Foundation’s key areas of business, culture, education, media and research. 

Her passion for New Zealand’s engagement with Asia inspired her to move from Canberra to Wellington in 2022.
