Naomi Simon-Kumar
Naomi Simon-Kumar (she/her/ia) is a public health researcher with interests in environmental health data science, climate resilience, and science for public good/equity.
Naomi was a Fulbright Scholar at Columbia University, where she completed a Master’s in Environmental Health Sciences specialising in biostatistics and data science, and a Provost’s Scholar at the University of Oxford.
In Aotearoa, she co-founded Multiethnic Young Leaders, an organisation providing accessible professional development opportunities for ethnically diverse young leaders.
She is motivated to build scientific research networks and advance collaborations on sustainability and health challenges in the wider Asia-Pacific. Outside of research, she enjoys writing poetry and speculative fiction.
