Natalie Stone

Natalie is a Year 7-8 teacher at a large school on the Kāpiti Coast. She has been passionate about languages, culture and travelling since she started learning German at college as a 13 year old.

Natalie wanted to become a Champion because she wants to keep growing by collaborating with others, and continuing to impart knowledge and experiences with young people. Natalie inspires them to be open-minded and non-judgemental about other cultures and to step outside of their comfort zone - like she did when learning Mandarin and now Japanese.

When Natalie's students wanted to learn about Japanese language and culture, she organised college students to help her class and others at her school and is looking forward to sharing more about other Asian cultures through the Champions Programme.
