Adrienne Smith

Adrienne currently teaches a Year 3 class at Western Heights Primary School in Rotorua. She returned to Aotearoa at the end of 2017 after spending well over a decade living and teaching in Taiwan.

During her time abroad, Adrienne has had opportunities to explore and discover different cultures and places within Asia. As a Champion, she looks forward to deepening her understanding of Asia and having the opportunity to help develop a broader awareness and knowledge of Asia in our ākonga. She says, "Asia holds both a world of opportunity and enormous economic potential for our tamariki."

Adrienne looks forward to being part of a network that helps to foster an appreciation for all that Asia has to offer and helps equip tamariki with the skills and confidence needed to one day forge their own way in this unique region.
