Gemma Bell

Gemma is a commercial lawyer who is excited about maximising the opportunities provided by technology, innovation, and globalisation. She is a born-and-raised Aucklander, with Chinese heritage, and is passionate about strengthening the New Zealand-Asia relationship.

Gemma currently sits on the Auckland District Law Society’s Newly Suited committee where she promotes the interests of and advocates for junior lawyers.

Her passion for social development motivated her longtime involvement with United Nations Youth New Zealand and Youth Parliament. Gemma also has a strong interest in supporting innovation and entrepreneurship and was a previous CEO of Velocity, and a Momentum investment committee member.
