Alton Gondipon

Alton was born in Sabah, Malaysia, and has called New Plymouth his second home for the past 11 years. He is a Massey University Alumni with a Bachelor of Agri-business (Major in International Agribusiness). Alton is currently a member of the senior management team at YMCA Taranaki.

In 2017, Alton founded and led a charitable outreach to provide essential needs to people in rural Borneo Island. His passion for agri-business and international trade has seen him represent New Zealand at the International Food and Agribusiness Management Case Competitions in 2019 and 2022.

Alton is from the KadazanDusun Tribe in Sabah, Malaysia. His aspirations are to develop New Zealand's cultural and trade relationship with Asia.
