Marcus Coll



Marcus Coll is a Research Fellow at the Disarmament and Security Centre | Te Whare Maukāroko, based in Ōtautahi Christchurch.

Marcus leads heritage projects that preserve and promote Aotearoa’s peace and anti-nuclear history through exhibitions, online spaces, and community engagement.

His perspective is grounded in lived experience in Asia, including seven years studying and working in Japan. He recently returned from an 18-month teaching post at the University of the Philippines Manila.

Marcus holds a Bachelor of Arts in Japanese, a Master’s degree in Diplomacy, and a PhD in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Canterbury.
