Madeline Kaa (Ngāti Porou) is a policy professional working in local government while completing a Master of Public Policy at Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington.
Her leadership experience spans youth employment, workforce development, strategic planning, and public policy, with a focus on creating opportunities for others.
Madeline's connection to Asia began at 13 when she started learning Japanese and has since evolved into a passion for Asian cultures, languages, history, and public policy.
In 2025, she was one of three New Zealanders selected for the Korea Foundation Public Diplomacy Exchange.
She is passionate about strengthening Aotearoa’s relationships with Asia through policy, diplomacy, and cultural exchange.
