In recent years, the Leadership Network has held a number of hui aimed at tackling the big issues facing young Kiwis and connecting these issues to developments in Asia. This has included our Refugee Hui, Sustainability Hui and Te Ao Māori Hui.
These well-attended hui have provided members with an opportunity to take up leadership roles, build connections and share knowledge.
All New Zealand-based network members can apply to attend the Wellbeing hui, which will take place in Auckland from Friday 21 to Sunday 23 May.
Applications have now closed for this opportunity
All costs associated with attending the hui (accommodation, return economy travel, meals and planned activities) will be met by the Foundation.
Participants will be responsible for getting to and from their local airport and for any personal spending money.
Please note that participants will be expected to attend all days of the hui and participate in all activities.
Goals of the hui
The goals of the hui are to:
equip members of the network with a broad knowledge of wellbeing issues in New Zealand and developments in Asia. This might include tools for managing your own mental and physical wellbeing and understanding the role leaders play in promoting good wellbeing
provide leadership opportunities for members through their active development of the programme and their participation in leading the various sessions of the hui
provide an opportunity for members to interact and get to know each other.
This event will be co-created with members – you should have received a consultation document by email – and it is expected that network members with expertise in this area will contribute to the design and facilitation of the event.
Participants are not expected to be up-to-date on wellbeing issues, although there will be some reading material provided.
