Kirsten Kilmister
National development manager – North Island for Athletics New Zealand
Kirsten is the national development manager – North Island for Athletics New Zealand. She oversees the national club capability portfolio, manages the six-member team and delivers development support across the North Island.
She is also the Athletic NZ safeguarding officer, leading education and support initiatives across the eleven centres.
Kirsten's background includes eight years at the Wellington Regional Sports Trust, where she secured sponsorship and delivered major events such as Round the Bays and the Sportsperson of the Year Awards.
Prior to that, she owned and operated her own event management business and worked as event & marketing manager with the NZ Retailers Association, where she coordinated the 11th Asian Retailers Convention, hosting 1,500 delegates, including senior buyers and chief executives from across Asia.
