Kenneth Leong
Kenneth is director of Tiaki Capital, with over 20 years' experience in corporate finance and international business.
Kenneth focuses on mergers, acquisitions and investment facilitation across New Zealand, Australia, and Asia, and has been an active advocate for deeper Asia-New Zealand engagement for over 15 years.
He served as chairman of the ASEAN New Zealand Business Council (2017-2021) and as a member of the Ministerial Strategic Advisory Group on Trade (2021-2023). He was inducted by KEA as a World Class New Zealander in 2015.
Kenneth arrived in New Zealand as an international student and began his career at Deloitte and Macquarie Bank before pursuing entrepreneurial interests across education, technology, and professional services at director-shareholder level. He is a chartered member of the Institute of Directors with a strong governance track record, and has a long-standing commitment to the not-for-profit sector, including as a trustee of the Auckland Foundation (2016-2025).
Kenneth was appointed to the board of trustees of the Asia New Zaland Foundation in 2026.
