Kayden is an urban policy analyst with a background in infrastructure, social housing, and planning reform.
He has held policy roles at the New Zealand Treasury, Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, and Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities and is passionate about connecting lessons from urban change in Asia to policy development in New Zealand.
Kayden holds a Master of Resource and Environmental Planning (First Class Honours) from Massey University and a Bachelor of Arts from Victoria University of Wellington.
In 2025, he was awarded a Asia New Zealand Foundation Postgraduate Research Grant to study mixed-use urban development in Japan.
