Janelle Bish is a performing arts curator, producer, and festival director.
Janelle has been in programming and presenting roles across a range of programmes and platforms. During her tenure with Auckland Live, Janelle led the Auckland Live Cabaret Season from its inception to becoming an anticipated fixture on the Auckland arts calendar.
In 2022, Janelle transitioned to Rotorua, taking on the role of director of performing Arts, leading the reopening of the newly refurbished Sir Howard Morrison Centre, developing its strategic vision.
In 2025, Janelle was appointed artistic director of the Nelson Arts Festival.
Janelle is dedicated to creating platforms that empower artists, strengthen communities, and inspire audiences through transformative cultural experiences.
