Drew McCartie
Drew's connection to China began with high school language studies, leading to two Prime Minister's Scholarships for immersion studies in Kunming and Shanghai, internships, and eventually working in Shanghai, helping to build an on-the-ground understanding of the country.
Over the past four years, he's split his time between China, Thailand, and New Zealand with Halter, a Kiwi agritech scale-up using technology to improve farming and animal welfare, where he is now working as the production operations manager.
Across every role, Drew's focus has been people: building genuine relationships across cultures and helping connect New Zealanders to real opportunities in Asia.
