Daniel O'Brien
Daniel O'Brien (Ngāpuhi) is a Wellington-based official at the New Zealand Defence Force
As an Assistant Director in the NZDF's Strategic Engagements Branch, Daniel is responsible for supporting the Defence Force's military diplomacy in Australia and the South Pacific.
As a recipient of the Prime Minister's Scholarship, he travelled India in 2023 as part of the Reimagining India Tour. Daniel then represented the Foundation in Taipei in 2024, alongside delegates from across Asia.
Daniel holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Auckland, and he is currently pursuing a Master of Public Policy.
