Daniel Clarke is the director, performing arts at Tataki Auckland Unlimited leading Auckland Live, which is New Zealand’s largest performing arts organisation.

Daniel has worked as an artistic director, creative producer, executive producer, director, curator and CEO across Australia and the UK. His work has had a strong commitment to equity and inclusion, developing and championing bold artistic voices, connecting audiences to new work, and the support of innovative creative practice. 

His extensive experience in Australia’s arts sector includes being head of programming Canberra Theatre Centre,  festival co-creative director of Sydney WorldPride 2023, creative producer; theatre and contemporary performance at Arts Centre Melbourne, executive producer programming at QPAC, CEO/creative producer; Theatre Works, St Kilda, artistic director/CEO; Adelaide’s Feast Festival, associate artist and creative producer; Leicester Haymarket Theatre.   

Daniel has been awarded the Green Room Award for Outstanding Contribution to Cabaret (2020), Sidney Myer Facilitators Prize (2016), Ruby Award for Outstanding Community Impact for Feast Festival (2007) and Dame Ruby Litchfield Performing Arts Award (2002).
