Anthea Mulakala
Anthea Mulakala is a senior director at The Asia Foundation, leading regional work on the digital economy, workforce transformation, and international development cooperation across Asia.
With over 30 years of experience, she works at the intersection of geopolitics, economic development, and technological change.
She directs the APAC Cybersecurity Fund, a Google.org-supported initiative strengthening the digital resilience of more than 300,000 micro, small, and medium enterprises across 13 countries, and leads the Future Skills Alliance, a public–private platform delivering digital and workforce skills at scale.
Anthea is also a recognized policy specialist on development cooperation and regional dynamics, with extensive work on the future of aid, debt, and small states navigating geopolitical competition.
A published author and experienced convener, she works across governments, private sector partners, and civil society to build more inclusive and future-ready economies in Asia.
