Anna Fifield



Anna Fifield is a journalist and editor focused on Asia. She spent 20 years as a foreign correspondent for the Washington Post and the Financial Times, and three years as the Washington Post's Asia-Pacific editor.

Between 2020 and 2022, she was the editor of the Dominion Post in Wellington. She was a Nieman Journalism Fellow at Harvard University in 2013-14, and in 2018 won Stanford University’s Shorenstein Prize for excellence in reporting on Asia. Her book about North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, "The Great Successor," was published in 2019 and has been translated into 24 languages.
