Ali Muhammad
Ali Muhammad is a former refugee who is a passionate advocate for human rights and has dedicated his career to serving marginalised communities.
As the founder of Thrive Foundation,Ali supports refugees and promotes social justice. His leadership journey includes running for public office in the 2023 general elections and graduating from Massey University.
Ali’s contributions have earned him recognition as a Kiwibank New Zealander of the Year Finalist (Local Hero) in 2023, and an Impact Award Finalist (Wellbeing) in 2022.
In addition to his advocacy work, Ali is a football referee, further reflecting his commitment to community engagement.
