Aaron Hewson is an apple scientist with a passion for nature, culture, and food production.
With an academic background in science and the humanities, Aaron is completing his MSc and on track to pursue a PhD.
His connection to Asia began with a focus on Asia and Buddhism during undergraduate study, and he recently made his first visit to the region to present in Japan at the world's largest horticultural science conference.
Aaron is a keen science communicator, and is actively involved in advocacy through Future Farmers New Zealand, and in education with the New Zealand International Biology Olympiad.
