The purpose of Asia:NZ's Teacher Study Programmes in Asia is to provide grants to New Zealand based educators to gain a better awareness and understanding of Asia and to use this knowledge to better promote studies of Asia in New Zealand primary and secondary schools.
Asia:NZ Programmes
Asia:NZ/AFS Educator Scholarships
The
Asia:NZ/AFS Educator Scholarships provides six scholarships for
teachers to spend three weeks in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia or the
Philippines. During their stay the teachers will have the opportunity
to experience school and home life in an Asian setting.
Korean Studies Workshop
The Korean Studies Workshop provides opportunities for educators to learn about Korea first-hand through a series of university lectures, field trips to sites of historical and contemporary relevance and personal experiences.
New Zealand Japanese Language Teachers Programme
The New Zealand Japanese Language Teacher's Programme provides an in-country
language and cultural immersion experience for New Zealand teachers of Japanese
language.
Non-Asia:NZ Programmes
Study Programmes
New Zealand teachers may apply for grants to assist with the costs of study
visits to Asia.
Access Asia
Study tours to China, Laos or Vietnam.
