Each year the Asia New Zealand Foundation awards undergraduate scholarships to young New Zealanders to study at the National University of Singapore (NUS). NUS is internationally recognised as one of the finest universities in the Asia-Pacific region. In 2008, it was rated 30th in a global ranking of universities by The Times of London. The Singapore Scholarship Programme is a unique opportunity for New Zealanders to further their studies in a world-class university — all expenses paid.

Overview
The Singapore Scholarships were set up in 1998 to strengthen New Zealand's relations with Singapore. The students we select have strong academic records and the potential to be leaders in their chosen fields. As they graduate and move into important positions in New Zealand companies, they will bring networks, in-depth knowledge of the region and cross-cultural understanding with them.
The scholarships are available for the term of the undergraduate degree (up to four years) in the Faculty of Business Administration, Science, Computing or Engineering. The Scholarship is available for students of all courses of study except medicine and law. Successful applicants will receive free tuition, accommodation, living expenses and one return airfare between New Zealand and Singapore each year.
NUS is a comprehensive university offering a broad-based curriculum. Enrolling more than 24,000 undergraduate and 7,000 graduate students, the university's 13 faculties and numerous research institutes actively promote innovation and entrepreneurship. NUS boasts a high-tech campus, state-of-the-art research facilities, strong links to industry and international academic partners, and academic standards at the level of the world's best universities. NUS is a highly selective institution. Students receiving Singapore Scholarships must still apply for entrance to the university.
