Two Commonwealth Scholarships available in India
The Asia New Zealand Foundation would like to bring to your attention the following scholarship opportunity:
The Indian COuncil for Cultural Relations (ICCR), on behalf Government of India, offers the Commonwealth Scholarship/Fellowship Scheme to international students wishing to study in India across a wide range of programmes and disciplines (excluding the medical field).
The scholarship includes:
Recipients are also entitled to one Economy class airfare, and an additional first-class rail fare to their place of study (if different from their place of arrival in India).
The ICCR has two places for New Zealand citizens under this scheme.
Applications are due in April each year, prior to an academic year start in August.
Note: the ICCR will only accept scholarship applications that have been forwarded by the relevant Indian diplomatic mission abroad.

- Supplemental accommodation or rent allowance
- Annual Contingent Allowance, depending upon the course of study
- A small living allowance
