This media studies NCEA level 2 unit explores the interpretation of and response to a contemporary media portrayal of Indian society and culture. It aims to encourage students to develop an understanding of how a director creates meaning in a film.  View unit

Here, there, everywhere: Korea

This social sciences unit for years 7 to 10 explores changing cultural diversity in New Zealand. The proportion of Asia-born people now living in New Zealand has significantly increased in recent times. With this shift comes an increasing need to examine ways to connect our diverse communities. Crescent Moon

In this social sciences level 5 unit, students are encouraged to develop understandings of cultural interaction in New Zealand through exploring the migration experiences of Asian Muslims. The unit uses a social inquiry approach and a variety of teaching and learning activities to help teachers and students to think and work in contemporary ways. View unit
