The five aims are:- To promote the welfare and well-being of Filipinos residing in New Zealand;- To assist members to retain their Filipino identity and to adjust to New Zealand society;- Facilitate social and cultural and cultural activities of and among the Filipino community in Canterbury;- Introduce the history and culture of the Philippines to New Zealand and to promote a mutual understanding between the Filipino community and other ethnic communities in New Zealand;- Maintain contact with other Filipino communities in New Zealand.
