Asia:NZ's Media Programme aims to improve the quality and quantity of coverage of Asia in the New Zealand media.

Media Travel Awards

Eighty percent funded awards are offered in three stages through the year to New Zealand journalists to travel for up to three weeks to one country or neighbouring areas of interest in Asia.

Partial Assistance

Throughout the year partial assistance is given to journalists visiting Asia. This is decided on a discretionary basis.

Media Staff Exchanges

Support for exchanges and one-way placements between New Zealand and Asian print, radio and TV media outlets.

Media Seminars

• National Seminar on Asian issues
• Visiting Speakers
  

Correspondents

• Support for placement of full time New Zealand correspondents in the region
• Support for developing networks of freelancers in the region
  

TV and Radio

Support for Asia-oriented TV and radio programmes.

• North Asia deadline - Friday, May 16
• Southeast Asia deadline - Wednesday, July 16
• South Asia deadline - Tuesday, September 16
