Track II Opportunities - Vietnam and Japan

Asia New Zealand Foundation will be leading two Track II delegations later this year and we are calling for applications. You would be participating in these dialogues as an observer, to grow your understanding of Track II and its utility.

1. Vietnam Track II

Wellington | 30 March

The Asia New Zealand Foundation is hosting the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam for a day of roundtable discussions. The agenda is still taking form but will focus around four themes: the New Zealand-Vietnam bilateral relationship, major power dynamics;, the outlook for ASEAN centrality, and prospects for regional economic architecture.

2. Japan Track II

Tokyo | Week of 24 April – Dates to be confirmed

The Asia New Zealand Foundation, the New Zealand Institute of International Affairs, and the Japanese Institute of International Affairs will be engaged in a roundtable dialogue in the week of 24 April, in Tokyo. The agenda is being finalised, but topics likely to be included are: the New Zealand-Japan relationship, the outlook for Asian regionalism, regional economic/security architecture, and maritime security in the Asia-Pacific.
