Surface Arts residency

Surface Arts runs their residency out of the HOF ART Residency space in Bangkok, the first full serviced artist residency and artist community in Thailand.

A courtyard with trees surrounded by rough concrete buildings

Open 24-7, HOF ART is situated in the heart of Bangkok, in a five-storey building consisting of exhibition spaces, studios and accommodation.

Rooms are fully furnished with air-con and free Wi-Fi and artists have use of an outdoor common area with kitchen and laundry area.

Surface Arts has created this residency opportunity to bring international artists together from around the world to share skills and ideas. Their aim is to support the production of ideas and art works to develop understanding between two cultures.

It is expected that innovation and collaborative relationships should blossom from this project and actively benefit the individual artist as well as the creative communities.

Residencies are tailored to the individual artist and support given to facilitate the requirements of each artist. It is expected that work should  evolve and change throughout the residency so ridged completion of initial proposals is not anticipated.
