This month’s Asia After Five features dynamic speakers sharing their personal stories relating to India and Sri Lanka.
Dr Robyn Andrews - Robyn is a senior lecturer of social anthropology at Massey University in Palmerston North. She recently wrote a series of vignettes for the Foundation’s website on Anglo-Indians and Anglo-Indian descendants in New Zealand, and will be speaking to some of the highlights from her related research.
Kashmir Kaur - Kashmir is a senior policy analyst at the Ministry of Education. She has six years of school teaching experience, six years of local government social policy/liaison experience, and six years of central government strategic planning and policy experience. She’ll be talking about the importance of cultural confidence in her personal and career development.
Dhaxna Sothieson - Dhaxna is a solicitor at Duncan Cotterill. Originally from Sri Lanka, Dhaxna grew up in Hamilton. She will be talking about her embrace of the Tamil language and culture at a local community class in Wellington.
