ASEAN Southeast Asian Night Market
Held every two years in Wellington, the ASEAN Southeast Asian Night Market celebrates the foods, crafts, and culture of Southeast Asia.
Nine of the 10 member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) are represented at the festival. Those countries are Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar (Burma), the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
The Foundation has assisted to bring a troupe of dancers and musicians from Western Sumatra, Seni Nan Gombang Company, and Sri Warisan Som Said Performing Arts group from Singapore.
Both groups will be performing during the opening ceremony on Saturday. See the above programme for performance times.
