Agribusiness in Southeast Asia
Have you considered working with agribusiness companies in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Philippines, or Vietnam, but feel like you don't have the connections or confidence to be successful?
Are you an aspiring agribusiness entrepreneur that wants to learn from folk who started their own agribusiness?
Join us for this practical workshop on the day-to-day realities of running an agribusiness in Southeast Asia and New Zealand. This workshop is a satellite event of Fieldays®.
Hosted by the Asia New Zealand Foundation and Fieldays®, this event will give participants an opportunity to dive head-first into leading Southeast Asia and New Zealand agribusinesses.
During the two hour session, participants will rotate through small group discussions with experienced entrepreneurs, discussing real challenges, and learning about the unique realities of operating in the dynamic Southeast Asian economies.
We will also be joined by Kiwi entrepreneurs who can discuss their experiences in Southeast Asia, or share their experience as agribusiness entrepreneurs. Discussions will range from getting to know your customers, alternative protein sources, innovation and marketing in the age of social media and issues around food safety and organics.
During the workshop, you'll have the opportunity to network with Southeast Asian and Kiwi entrepreneurs from award-winning organisations including Lanaco, Cricket One, Anteater, Natural Garden, Green Meadows Beef, CP-Meiji, Spring Sheep, Purefood, AGREA, Mushroom House, Pipiltin and the Wellington Chocolate Factory, as well as connect with fellow participants interested in working in the region.
To ensure participants have an in-depth experience, we have capped attendance at 50—so make sure you sign up quick! Attendance is free, but first-in, first-served basis.
The entrepreneurs running this event are in New Zealand as part of the ASEAN Young Business Leaders Initiative, a programme managed by the Asia New Zealand Foundation on behalf of the New Zealand government. The Foundation thanks Fieldays® for their support in making this event happen.
