Mr Siddik is a prominent financial management figure with more than 38 years' experience in various fields of business, ranging from oil and gas to mining, distribution, logistics, and financial management services. Mr Siddik graduated from Oxford University with a Bachelor of Arts in politics, philosophy and economics. He then went on to pursue a Master's degree in business administration from the European Institute of Business Administration.
In 2007, he was appointed president commissioner of Petrosea, one of Indonesia’s leading engineering, construction and mining companies. Prior to this, he was the company’s independent commissioner, a role he began in 2001.
Mr Siddik’s other professional achievements include co-founding the accountancy firm Price Waterhouse Siddik in Indonesia. He headed the firm until he retired in 1990 to concentrate initially on his investment management business with MeesPierson, and later his position as president commissioner of PT Rothschild Indonesia, a position he still holds.
Mr Siddik also chairs the managing board of the Indonesian Foundation for Management Development, which is responsible for establishing the Indonesian Institute for Management and Development – an independent, non-profit institution devoted to education and research in management.
