Non-Executive Chairman of Tenaga Nasional Berhad
Tan Sri Leo Moggie was a member of parliament of Malaysia from 1974 to 2004. He was also a member of the Council Negeri Sarawak from 1974 to 1978 where he was minister in the State Government of Sarawak responsible for welfare services and local government from 1976 to 1978.
He was appointed to the Federal Cabinet of Malaysia as the Minister of Energy, Telecommunications and Posts in 1978-1989, as Minister of Works in 1989-1995, again as Minister of Energy, Telecommunications and Posts in 1995-1998 and as Minister of Energy, Communications and Multimedia from 1998 until his retirement from active politics in 2004.
Tan Sri Leo Moggie graduated with a Masters in History from University of Otago, New Zealand and a MBA from Pennsylvania State University, USA. He received an Honorary Doctorate of Laws from the University of Otago in 2000 and an Honorary Doctorate of Science from the Multimedia University of Malaysia in 2003.
He is now the non-executive chairman of Tenaga Nasional Berhad. Tan Sri Leo Moggie also sits as member of other public listed as well as private companies. Tan Sri Leo Moggie is married to Puan Sri Elizabeth Moggie and they have five children.
