Tessa Johnstone
Tessa has worked in media and communications since 2002, occasionally side-tracked by other interesting things.
Highlights have included writing for and editing youth magazine Tearaway, working adventures in the Solomon Islands and the UK, and reporting for the Wairarapa Times-Age and The Dominion Post. She has a Bachelor of Arts in political science and history, a Diploma in Journalism and has always chased opportunities that keep her learning. When not at work she’s usually chasing her energetic young daughter.
Tessa joined the Foundation in 2019 after a year working as an investigative writer for Consumer NZ, and previously as the communications adviser for Sustainability Trust.
Tessa is currently on parental leave. Please contact Rebecca Palmer ([email protected]) if you have a media enquiry.
