Leadership Network Ngopi & Kōrero

Find out about connecting with fellow network members to make new friends, discuss life, leadership and Asia and help strengthen the bonds that make the Leadership Network special.

In 2019 the Asia New Zealand Foundation Te Whītau Tūhono launched the Ngopi & Kōrero project, an initiative to connect members to each other under the environment of travel restrictions.

The idea was put forward by network member Sebastian Newman-Dennis and started as a special project . It’s known as a randomised coffee trial and is popular among organisations all around the world.

Three years in and the project has created a safe space to build personal connections for around 200 members and we've seen around 500 catchups take place, with a lot of great relationships and ideas coming from those conversations. We are excited to kick off this project again in 2023.

Members who signup will be randomly paired together, and these serendipitous hui will lead to more connections across the network, conversations on Asia, and potential ways to cooperate or work together.
