Taro is the CEO and co-founder of Take Me Tour, an award winning and online marketplace connecting tourists with local guides in Thailand and Southeast Asia.
Take Me Tour has more than 25,000 registered local experts from 65 cities who provide a wide range of experiences, from sightseeing to food tours and cultural experiences.
In October 2019, Taro visited New Zealand and spent a week alongside seven other Southeast Asian tourism entrepreneurs experiencing the tourism sector in Auckland, Rotorua and Christchurch.
In New Zealand, the group took in some of New Zealand's top tourist destinations, networked with local industry players and met local entrepreneurs working in the sector.
In Rotorua, Taro spoke about his business journey to local tourism operators at a networking event at Māori cultural centre Te Puia.
“I had a great opportunity meeting with experts in the industry, learning the best practices - how to bring tourism to another level,” Taro says.
