Submission to Immigration Act Review

In June 2006, Asia:NZ provided a submission on the proposed changes to the Immigration Act 1987. The submission asks for the inclusion of settlement language in the legislation and the establishment of a regular consultation mechanism between government and the public on immigration issues. The submission is directed at the proposed legislative changes and a separate document is available that comments on the wider policy framework - Immigration Policy: a contribution from Asia New Zealand Foundation, August 2006.
