Research on Studies of Asia in New Zealand Secondary Schools, December 2005

This research, commissioned by Asia:NZ, follows Teaching Asian Studies in Primary Schools, March 2004 to investigate reasons why Asia is, or is not, included in secondary school classroom programmes and to identify ways to support the promotion of Asian studies in schools.

Executive Report: Teaching Asian Studies in New Zealand Primary Schools - a national survey of schools, March 2004

In 2003, Asia:NZ commissioned a national survey, Teaching Asian Studies in New Zealand Primary Schools, to assess the amount of Asian studies currently being taught in New Zealand primary schools and to identify factors that motivate teachers to include it in their classroom programmes.

Cross-cultural and Education Adaptation of Asian Students

Dr Tracy Berno and Professor Collen Ward - March 2003. This report summarises the findings from an Asia:NZ funded project that examined the psychological, sociocultural and education adaptation of Asian students in New Zealand. The project examined the expectations, experiences and adaption of Asian students and makes recommendations based on research findings as to how students' experiences in and satisfaction with New Zealand may be enhanced.
