Join the Young Leaders Network

Asia:NZ's Young Leaders Network has been steadily growing since its inception in 2006 and now counts close to 300 members.

If you are interested in joining the network, you are invited to submit your application at any time, but applications will only be reviewed three times a year. The deadlines for this year are closed but visit this page soon to find out about dates for the next intake.

You will be invited to meet Asia New Zealand Foundation staff or Young Leaders Network Steering Committee members for an informal meeting  (if you are based in New Zealand).

Following the meeting, Foundation staff or Steering Committee members will make a recommendation as to whether you should be accepted.

Eligibility

The Young Leaders Network is free to join and open to young people who:

  • are aged between 18 and 35 at joining

  • are New Zealand citizens or permanent residents, or citizens of any Asian country residing in New Zealand for postgraduate level study

  • demonstrate leadership potential, and

  • show a commitment to furthering New Zealand-Asia relations

  • have not been declined for membership of the Network in previous applications
