ABAC is a group of business leaders who advise APEC leaders about issues of primary importance to business.ABAC is made up of three senior business representatives from each APEC economy: Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Chile, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Peru, the Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, the US and Vietnam. ABAC meets four times per year. Most of its work is undertaken by working groups covering a range of issues, including global trade and investment, corporate governance and transparency, regulatory frameworks, and cargo security.
